Today marks the 20th anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 attacks on the Twin Towers in New York City. APPAC joins the global community in remembering the lives there were tragically lost that day, and the subsequent lives lost as a result of terrorism. APPAC remembers and honors the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to rescue and protect others.

After 9/11, the lives of our brothers and sisters changed forever. Muslim-Americans and the Pakistani and South Asian community in America experienced discrimination and surveillance. Muslim-Americans lost loved ones during the 9/11 attacks and continue to endure hate crimes that run rampant today. APPAC joins Muslim-Americans and Pakistani-Americans to denounce hate and violence against all of our citizens.

Muslim and Pakistani-Americans have made incredible contributions in America, before and after the attacks, and will continue to work towards the betterment of this country. APPAC is committed to helping support the great work that many Pakistani and Muslim Americans are continuing to do for the advancement of American, our political leaders who represent us, and all of its people. Today and everyday, we will remember those lost on 9/11 and honor their memory.
