Dallas, Texas- (May 25, 2023) Last week, APPAC hosted two highly productive events featuring two esteemed individuals, Senator John-Cornyn and Congressman Marc Veasey. The events focused on current Pakistani issues and the USA’s relationship with Pakistan, including discussions on Islamophobia.

The events were attended by a diverse group of guests, including business leaders, professionals, and community members. The discussions were lively and engaging, and guests were able to share their experiences, voice concerns, and identify potential solutions to the challenges facing the community.

The key topics that resonated deeply during the events was the pressing issue of Islamophobia in USA and Pakistan facing significant human rights violations, including restrictions on freedom of expression and assembly. Senator John Cornyn and Congressman Marc Veasey emphasized the importance of fostering tolerance, unity, and respect for diverse religious beliefs. They also discussed the need for increased collaboration within the United States to address the issue of Islamophobia and human rights in Pakistan

In addition, Congressman Marc Veasey encouraged Muslim and Pakistani young individuals to get involved in local politics and civic engagement. He said that young people have a unique perspective and voice, and that they can make a real difference in their communities by getting involved. He also praised APPAC for its work in facilitating and helping young people get involved in politics and civic engagement.
