Senator Cory Booker returned to Long Island to Speak with APPAC members over a community dinner. He met and discussed various issues of concern to the Pakistani American community.
Speaking with about 50 activists and community members, he updated the attendees about his campaign. But more so, he expressed his excitement that finally, the Pakistani Americans are getting together under APPAC, across different states, to fight to create a society that treats all of its people equally. Senator Booker also had an informal question and answer session. Topics of discussion ranged from the blatant human rights violations in The Valley of Kashmir, appointing Pakistani Americans and Muslim judges to the Federal Judgeships to bring more Diversity, troops withdrawal from Syria, and be counted in when the policies are made were discussed.
